Location

The Prefecture of Evritania that looks to be submerged in the firs, it belongs to the Central Greece and borders with the prefectures of Fthiotida, Karditsa and Etoloakarnania.

Its capital is Karpenisi which is built on the southern slopes of Velouchi Mountain at an altitude of 1000 m in an overgrown area of firs, pines and chestnut trees.
